Work

Work we have finished — kitchens, islands and vanity tops

Photographs of countertops and vanity tops we cut in our Kent shop and installed across King County. Kitchens, islands, bathrooms and the edges up close.

Every photograph below is a counter we cut in our own shop in Kent and set ourselves. No stock photography, no renders, no showroom samples under studio lighting. Some were shot on a phone at the end of install day, and it shows.

Kitchens and islands

The island is where most of the money and all of the argument goes. It is the biggest single piece, it usually carries the sink or the cooktop, and it is the surface people stand at.

Kitchen island in heavily figured quartz with matching backsplash
Heavily figured slab run the length of an island. The pattern is chosen at the yard, not from a sample chip.
White quartz island with a waterfall end
Waterfall end mitered from the same slab, so the vein turns the corner instead of stopping at it.

Granite island with heavy natural movement

Sinks, edges and the parts you touch

Nobody buys a countertop for the edge profile. Everybody runs a hand along it every day for the next fifteen years.

Close-up of a polished granite surface

Stone countertop around a kitchen sink area
Everyday wear happens around the sink and the cooktop, in that order.
Thin sintered stone countertop surface
A thin, dense surface that shrugs off heat and sunlight.

If you want to know why a seam falls where it falls, that is its own page: countertop seams, explained.

Bathrooms and vanity tops

A vanity top takes more standing water than any counter in the house, and it is usually small enough that the whole thing comes out of one piece with no seam at all.

Long double-basin stone vanity top
A long vanity run with two basins, set level across the whole length.
Granite vanity top with two undermount sinks
Granite vanity top with two undermount sinks cut from a single piece.
Small stone vanity top in a bathroom
A small vanity top — exactly the size of piece a remnant covers with no seam.
Vanity top set and waiting for the plumber
Vanity top set and ready for the plumber to reconnect — which on our jobs is also us.

Install day, from our side

Why there are no square footages or slab names under these photos

Because we do not have accurate records of them, and a number invented for a website is worse than no number. What we can do is show you the work and let you come and touch a finished piece in the shop at 18856 72nd Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.

When we start recording jobs properly, the detail goes here. Until then this page is what it says it is: photographs of finished work.
