What a remnant piece costs
A remnant is priced by the piece, not by the tier and not by the foot, and it lands below the entry tier on the scale we use for full slabs. The stone on it is already paid for, so what is left to pay for is mostly the work.
There is usually a minimum charge, because a vanity still needs a template visit, a sink cutout, a polished edge and an install day. Below a certain size the labor is the whole price and the stone is free. We will tell you the number before you drive over.

What actually fits on a remnant
- A single or double bathroom vanity
- A laundry room counter over the washer and dryer
- A bar top, a coffee station or a small desk return
- A fireplace hearth or surround
- A window sill or a shower curb
- A small kitchen island, if the piece is big enough and you accept it may be the only one like it
Bring the room measurements, or a photo with a tape measure in it. We will tell you in one phone call whether anything on the rack works.

The honest limits on countertop remnants
- The rack is whatever it is today. We cannot promise your color. What is there is there, and it moves fast.
- No reorder. If a remnant cracks on the saw we cannot buy another one. We would move you to a different piece and you would have to like it.
- Seams. If your piece needs two remnants joined, you will see a seam and the two halves will not match the way slabs from one block do. We will show you a photo of the layout before we cut, and if you do not like it we stop there.
- Edges. Some remnants already have a finished edge on one side from the job they came off. That side may set which way the piece has to face.

Will it actually fit
The worry with a remnant is buying a piece that turns out to be an inch short. So we do not sell you one on the strength of your own measurement.
You pick the piece, we come out and template the room properly, and only then do we cut. If the piece will not work once we have templated, you have not lost anything and we put it back on the rack.

Questions people ask about remnants
Who has the best price on countertops?
For a small piece, a remnant beats every quote you will get on a new slab, because the stone is already paid for. For a full kitchen, compare itemized installed quotes from three shops.
Who has the best deals on quartz countertops?
Quartz countertop remnants are the real bargain in this trade. The same Cambria or Silestone that costs full price across a kitchen costs a fraction of it on a vanity, and it is the identical material.
How much do quartz countertops cost?
A full quartz kitchen is priced off the slab tier you pick, somewhere between $ and $$$, plus the work. A quartz remnant piece sits below all of that, because nobody has to buy a slab for it. The tier scale and what is included are on the pricing page.
How long does countertop installation take?
A vanity or a bar top is usually a single morning once the piece is cut. Remnant jobs tend to move faster than full kitchens for one simple reason: the stone is already in the shop, so nothing is waiting on a supplier. Your install date is set at the template visit.
