Where we install countertops — the cities we cover from our Kent shop

The cities we install countertops and remodel bathrooms in, from our shop in Kent, and what people actually order in each one. No trip fees.

We install where we can get a truck back to the shop the same day. Our door is at 18856 72nd Ave S, Kent, WA 98032, which puts all of South King County close and the Eastside within an easy morning run. There is no trip fee anywhere on this list, and the measure is free in every one of these cities.

South King County — our own back yard

The shop is in Kent, so these are the closest kitchens we do: Kent, Renton, Auburn, Federal Way, Tukwila, Des Moines, SeaTac, Burien, Covington and Maple Valley. Post-war ramblers with laminate still on the counters, split-levels on their second remodel, and a steady run of vanity tops. Mostly quartz and granite, mostly one-day installs.

Renton — Kennydale, the Highlands and Fairwood — gives us the highest share of tile-counter tear-outs we see anywhere: tile, mortar and often the plywood under it all come off together. It also produces the most remnant jobs, because a galley run fits on a single offcut.

The Eastside and north, city by city

Bellevue

The biggest share of our work. Somerset and Newport Hills ramblers with original tile counters, Bridle Trails and West Bellevue kitchens getting their second remodel, downtown condos where the stone goes up in a booked service elevator. Mostly quartz, mostly light, mostly islands.

Kitchen countertops in Bellevue

Kirkland

More bathrooms than kitchens here, and it is the only city where that is true. Juanita and Rose Hill hall baths from the sixties, Houghton bungalows with cast-iron tubs, and a wall of condos and townhouses near downtown where the building sets the work hours.

Bathroom remodels in Kirkland

Redmond

Education Hill and Grass Lawn, plus the newer streets out at Redmond Ridge. Houses built in the late eighties through the two-thousands with big kitchens and honey oak cabinets that are staying. The common job is a same-day tear-out of laminate and a quartz top over cabinets we do not touch.

Bothell

Split-entry houses around Canyon Park and North Creek, which means stone gets carried up half a flight from the garage. We plan the crew size around that, and we say so at the measure rather than showing up short-handed. Granite still sells well here.

Sammamish

Klahanie, Trossachs and Pine Lake — nineties and two-thousands houses on big lots with the largest kitchens on this list. Islands here regularly need a second slab, which is the one thing that surprises people on a bid. We show the layout on the slab photo before you approve it.

Issaquah

Two different towns in one. The Highlands is newer construction with tight parking and HOA rules about where a truck can sit. Old Issaquah and the Squak Mountain streets are cottages and steep driveways where the slab comes off the truck at the road and goes in by hand.

Everett

The far end of what we cover, and we still come. Bungalows north of downtown, Silver Lake and View Ridge split-levels. We batch Everett installs so the truck makes one trip, which means your install day is a specific day rather than whenever we happen to be heading north.

Do you actually show up

The reason people ask about a service area is not geography. It is the fear that somebody says yes, takes the job, and then treats the far end of the map as optional.

  • You get an arrival window, not a day, for both the measure and the install.
  • We call before the truck leaves the shop, so you know when to expect the door.
  • If traffic puts us behind, you hear it from us while we are sitting in it.
  • No trip fee, anywhere on this list. The drive is our problem, not a line on your bid.

Questions about where we work

Do you install countertops near me?

If you are in one of the eight cities above, yes, and there is no charge for the visit or the written bid.

Do you work in Seattle, Mercer Island or Woodinville?

Sometimes. It depends on the week and the size of the job. Call (206) 643-9354 and we will tell you straight instead of booking a measure we cannot follow through on.

Do you charge extra for the far end of the service area?

No. Everett pays what Bellevue pays.

Can you work in a condo or a building with an HOA?

Yes. Send us the building rules with your bid request. We book the service elevator, work inside the permitted hours and send the certificate of insurance the building manager asks for.

Do you do bathroom remodels everywhere on this list?

Yes, but bathrooms take days rather than one day, so scheduling is tighter the farther out you are. Bathroom remodel cost and timeline.
