Bellevue is a straight run north from our saw in Kent. People who search kitchen countertops, Bellevue WA, are usually asking two things at once: what will this cost, and are these people real. How the price is built, in two halves, is on the pricing page before you call, and the shop is at 18856 72nd Ave S, Kent, WA 98032 with the door open during Monday–Saturday, 8:00 – 5:00.

Kitchen countertops, Bellevue WA, neighborhood by neighborhood
Bellevue is not one housing stock, it is about four, and each one hands us a different job.
Somerset and Newport Hills. Daylight ramblers and split-levels on the hillside, built in the sixties and seventies. Almost all of them still have the original ceramic tile counters set in mortar over plywood, and that tear-out is a job of its own — the tile, the mortar bed and often the substrate come off together, and the cabinet tops need re-decking before stone can sit on them. The streets are steep and the driveways are short, so slabs usually come off the truck at the curb and go in on shoulders.
Lake Hills and Crossroads. Fifties and sixties ramblers with closed galley kitchens. Small enough that one slab covers the whole run, which is the cheapest good outcome there is: no seam to argue about, and often a remnant piece will do the job.
Bridle Trails. Bigger houses from the nineties on wooded lots, and the largest islands we template in this city. Islands over about ten feet force either a second slab or a seam, and we show you the layout on a photograph of your actual slab before anything goes on the saw.
West Bellevue, Enatai and Beaux Arts. Older houses on their second or third remodel. This is where book-matched slabs and waterfall ends get ordered, and where the veining layout matters more than the price per foot.
Downtown towers. Condo kitchens above the retail core. The building runs the job as much as we do: service elevator booked in advance, work inside permitted hours, certificate of insurance to the building manager before anyone touches a doorknob. Send us the building rules with your request and we handle the rest.
What Bellevue kitchens are ordering
Light quartz with soft veining is most of it — the Calacatta-look slabs that read white from across the room. Quartzite in Taj Mahal and Sea Pearl comes second, usually in the bigger Bridle Trails and West Bellevue kitchens where somebody wants natural stone that will not stain like marble. Darker, quieter granite is coming back for perimeters with a light island.
If you want to see the material comparison rather than the local pattern, the five stones are compared here on price, stains, heat and upkeep.
You are welcome to watch us work
Nobody is going to ask you to leave your own kitchen. Stand there, ask what the shims are for, watch the seam get pulled together. We will tell you what we are doing as we go.
The same applies before you hire anyone. Come to the shop, watch a slab get cut, and put your hand on a finished seam. One minute of that tells you more than a page of adjectives — including this one.
Getting to you, and the day itself
Measure appointments in Bellevue are usually within a few days of your call. The written, itemized bid follows by email the same day we measure. Template happens after you approve it, and install follows the template — you get a date at the template, not a season.
Cutting happens at the shop, never in your kitchen, so the stone dust never gets into your air vents. Tear-out and install of a normal Bellevue kitchen is one day, and your sink works before we leave. The whole sequence is on the process page.
Questions from Bellevue homeowners
How much do kitchen countertops cost in Bellevue?
Your price comes in two halves: the slab you pick and the work. Quartz slabs sit between $ and $$$ on our tier scale, granite starts at $, and quartzite and marble run to $$$$. The work always includes the template, one sink cutout, a standard edge, install, tear-out and haul-away. The scale, the full tier table and everything that can add to a quote are on the pricing page.
Do you have a showroom in Bellevue?
We have a working shop, which is more useful. Slab racks you can walk through, a saw running, and finished seams and edges you can touch. 18856 72nd Ave S, Kent, WA 98032, Monday–Saturday, 8:00 – 5:00.
Do you carry quartz countertops near Bellevue WA?
We fabricate Cambria, Caesarstone, Silestone, MSI, Pental and Vadara, and we will pull a slab from any yard on the Eastside if the one you want is sitting there. You pick the actual slab, not a two-inch sample.
Do I need a permit to replace kitchen countertops in Bellevue?
Swapping counters and putting the same sink back in the same place has not needed one on the jobs we have done. Moving plumbing, gas or electrical is a different question, and we tell you at the measure which side of that line your kitchen sits on.
Can you replace the counters without replacing the cabinets?
Yes, and it is most of what we do here. The cabinets have to be level and solid enough to carry stone. In the older Somerset and Lake Hills houses that sometimes means shimming or re-decking a run first, and we say that at the measure rather than on install day.
How fast can you come out?
Usually within a few days. Call (206) 643-9354, or leave a message and you get a call back the same business day.
